Every procedure begins with a detailed design consultation where she maps your bone structure, face shape, and skin undertone. You see and approve the exact shape before any pigment is applied. She works in soft, graduated ombré that mimics natural brow density — not blocky, drawn-on brows. Nothing goes on the results page unless it has healed for six weeks at least, with the interval stated, which is the only way to see how work settles.

Days 1–3: brows look darker and bolder than the final result. Days 4–10: light flaking. Days 11–28: the colour looks lighter. By around week six the colour has usually settled enough to judge. Healing varies from person to person, so treat these days as a rough guide rather than a schedule, and see a doctor for anything that looks like an infection. Written aftercare goes home with you. The six-week session is where density and symmetry get adjusted.

Not because of the weather. Powder is what Mugi does most and what she is best at, and it suits oily and combination skin, but nothing establishes that Northern Virginia's summers make one technique last longer than another here than anywhere else. Summers here are hot and humid, and the sun is strong from June to September. That matters most in the first two weeks, when the aftercare asks you to keep the area dry and out of direct sun — which is simply harder to do in August than in March. Once it has healed, sun exposure is what fades permanent makeup, here as anywhere else. Sunscreen over the brows on bright days does more for how long it lasts than anything about the local weather.

She uses a sterile single-use setup, single-use cartridges opened in front of you, and EU-compliant vegan pigments. No complication figures are published here, because counting them honestly would mean following up every client, and she has not.

She assesses existing permanent makeup through a first conversation with detailed photography. Depending on the condition of prior work, she may recommend a colour correction, a cover-up procedure, or saline removal, which she does not do and refers out for, before proceeding. Correction work requires a personalized plan — the first look is where she tells you what she thinks can be done, and over what timeframe, before any commitment.

She does not perform procedures on clients who are pregnant or nursing, undergoing chemotherapy, have uncontrolled diabetes, exhibit keloid scarring tendencies, or are taking blood-thinning medications. Clients with autoimmune conditions require a consultation to evaluate candidacy. Not every client is a candidate; where that is the answer, she says so rather than booking the work.
