Questions from Fairfax County Clients

Tap a question to reveal the answer

Yes. The Annandale studio is central to Fairfax County, and easy to reach from Fairfax City, Vienna, Burke, Tysons and McLean. With free parking and easy access off Little River Turnpike, the studio is easier to reach than the busier commercial strips.

No other studio pricing is quoted on this site. Our $600 includes everything: consultation, the full procedure, vegan pigments, written aftercare, and your 6-week touch-up. One price, published in advance, and one person doing all of it.

Summers here are hot and humid, and the sun is strong from June to September. That matters most in the first two weeks, when the aftercare asks you to keep the area dry and out of direct sun — which is simply harder to do in August than in March. Once it has healed, sun exposure is what fades permanent makeup, here as anywhere else. Sunscreen over the brows on bright days does more for how long it lasts than anything about the local weather. How long it holds depends on your skin, the sun you get and what you put on your face, and the spread between two people is wider than any single figure would suggest. The touch-up prices are the closest thing to a real answer, because they are what she charges at each interval: see the prices page.

Considering Microblading in Fairfax, VA?

Fairfax City and surrounding communities experience the full intensity of Northern Virginia's humid subtropical climate — hot, humid summers that drive increased oil production in every skin type. This environmental factor is the primary reason microblading underperforms here, in humid summers, more than the technique is usually given credit for. Among Fairfax-area clients this becomes especially noticeable on skin that already trends combination or oily through the brow zone. People do arrive disappointed by how long theirs lasted, and why any individual brow faded early is a question about that brow.

Before paying for microblading that may need frequent touch-ups, understand the science behind technique longevity in the specific climate.
